Job Description

Position Title:  Program Coordinator

Reports To:  Executive Director

General Job Description:  The Mental Health Task Force of Polk County (MHTF) is seeking an individual to work with our Executive Director to coordinate new and existing programs for a growing and active nonprofit agency in Polk County, WI. This is a new, part-time position at 20 hours per week, flexible schedule, with the opportunity to work from home. Periodic evening and weekend worktime may be required.

Responsibilities: Help develop, implement and manage two new program areas for the MHTF. This includes serving as a Trauma Informed Coordinator for the organization, which involves researching, documenting and supporting trauma informed activities, and coordinating Adverse Childhood Experiences community presentations in Polk County. Also includes coordinating MHTF’s new school-based program initiatives in Polk County. Will also include providing support to other programs as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  2. Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  3. Ability to work independently
  4. Commitment to receive Trauma Informed Care training
  5. Proficient computer skills, preferably in a Microsoft and Google environment

Desired:

  1. Training or familiarity with Trauma Informed Care principles and practices
  2. Previous experience working with Polk County schools, human services or related field.
  3. Project management experience, preferably with a not-for-profit organization
