Join the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County and other community partners at Walk, Roll & Read in September! Walk, Roll & Read, hosted by United Way St. Croix Valley, brings families and children together at local parks to enjoy a nature walk with story tents and children’s activities along the way.
In September, the Mental Health Task Force in hosting a story tent featuring the children’s book, Elmo is Mindful: How to Stay Focused, Calm, and Kind. This board book offers thoughtful suggestions for young children on what to do when they’re scared, angry, frustrated, upset, and overwhelmed. We hope you’ll come visit our story tent and learn more!

Walk, Roll & Read provides an opportunity for parents, caregivers, and children to enjoy a walk through the woods, read and participate in fun activities together, and learn more about community resources. Plus, all children in attendance are able to select a brand new book of their choice to take home.
