As a small nonprofit, we are intentional about using funds efficiently to support mental health education, suicide prevention, and community-based programs throughout Polk County.
How We Use Our Resources
Funds raised by the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County are used to:
- Deliver community mental health education and suicide prevention programs
- Support partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations
- Host events that raise awareness, reduce stigma, and foster connection
- Maintain sound nonprofit operations and financial management
Financial Oversight
Strong financial oversight is a priority for the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County. In addition to Board governance and internal financial controls, we voluntarily engage an independent accounting firm to conduct a financial audit each year. This external review helps ensure accuracy, accountability, and responsible financial management.
