FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY

MENTAL HEALTH TASK FORCE OF POLK COUNTY

Our Commitment to Transparency

The Mental Health Task Force of Polk County is committed to responsible stewardship of the resources entrusted to us. Transparency and accountability are central to how we operate, make decisions, and report on our work.

As a small nonprofit, we are intentional about using funds efficiently to support mental health education, suicide prevention, and community-based programs throughout Polk County.

How We Use Our Resources

Funds raised by the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County are used to:

  • Deliver community mental health education and suicide prevention programs
  • Support partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations
  • Host events that raise awareness, reduce stigma, and foster connection
  • Maintain sound nonprofit operations and financial management

Financial Oversight

Strong financial oversight is a priority for the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County. In addition to Board governance and internal financial controls, we voluntarily engage an independent accounting firm to conduct a financial audit each year. This external review helps ensure accuracy, accountability, and responsible financial management.

Financial Documents

We believe it’s important for donors, partners, and community members to have access to our financial information.
