Make It OK is a community campaign, created by HealthPartners, to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness by increasing understanding and encouraging open, caring conversations. When we know more, we can do more—to support others, to speak up, and to change the way our communities talk about mental health.

What to Expect

The Make It OK presentation is a 1-hour training that offers tools, language, and perspective to help people:

  • Understand what stigma is and how it shows up in everyday life
  • Learn practical ways to reduce stigma in conversations and communities
  • Feel more confident talking openly about mental health and offering support

Participants will also hear stories of real people living with mental illness—bringing the topic to life in a human, relatable way.

Why It Matters

Stigma keeps people from talking about mental illness, and from getting the care and support they deserve. Make It OK helps break down those barriers through education, empathy, and connection. Whether you’re a community member, employer, educator, or caregiver, you can be part of making it OK to talk about mental health.
