THRIVING - A COMMUNITY WELLNESS SERIES

Thriving is a unique, activity-based mental health program designed to support emotional wellness, build resilience, and strengthen connection within ourselves and our community. This program is FREE and open to the community.

Hosted by the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County in partnership with community collaborators including The Acreage, Thriving sessions feature special guest presenters and are co-facilitated by licensed mental health therapist Kim Henningsgard and Executive Director Lisa Murphy.

Thriving offers a safe and welcoming space to explore what it means to truly care for our mental health. Through guided discussion, practical tools, and experiential learning, participants leave with strategies they can use in everyday life.

What to Expect

Thriving sessions combine conversation, reflection, and hands-on activities that encourage learning, connection, and personal growth. Each session is designed to be approachable, supportive, and meaningful, whether you are exploring mental wellness for the first time or looking to deepen existing skills.

Why It Matters

At a time when mental health challenges are increasing, Thriving offers a hopeful path forward that emphasizes prevention, self-awareness, and the healing power of community. Participants consistently share that the program helps them feel more grounded, empowered, and less alone.
