The Mental Health Task Force of Polk County is a small organization that achieves big things – and our volunteers make that possible! Volunteers help us show up in the community, support meaningful programs and events, and extend the reach of our mental health and suicide prevention efforts across Polk County.
Whether you’re available for occasional event support or prefer behind-the-scenes assistance, there are many ways to get involved.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
General Support
- Clerical and administrative assistance
Events & Community Outreach
- Event planning and coordination support
- Event-day assistance including registration, set-up and tear-down, greeting attendees, and hosting
- Photography or basic event documentation
- Staffing information tables or helping distribute mental health resources
Programs & Trainings
- Assisting with logistics for workshops, trainings, and community education sessions
- Supporting follow-up tasks after programs or events
Communications & Creative Support
- Helping with social media content, photography, or storytelling
- Assisting with simple outreach tasks or content organization
