BOARD MEMBER

Lisa, currently the Polk County Behavioral Health Director, is originally from the Ashland area. Her education includes an Associate Degree in Supervision and Technical Certificate in Human Resources from Northwood Technical College (formerly WITC); in 2010 she earned her Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration from Northland College and, in 2014, completed her Master of Science in Leadership and Leader Development. Lisa worked in the Behavioral Health Department of Memorial Medical Center, Ashland (now Tamarack Health) from 1990 to 2014 when she took a one-year position as the CEO of Gogebic Community Mental Health Center in Wakefield, MI. Lisa went on to work for Horizon Health (Texas) where she traveled to Wisconsin and Kentucky serving as Behavioral Health Director for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units. In 2017, Lisa joined Polk County and is grateful to be a resident and employee of this beautiful county. Lisa lives in the Cumberland area with her husband, Jack and their two fur babies, Lily and McKinley. Lisa and Jack also have two sons, Justin (Katie & Nolan) and Kirk (Kristi, Henry, Vivian, Alanna and grandbaby #5 is due in February). Lisa enjoys cooking, baking, preserving food, making maple syrup with Jack, and loves creating patio/porch posts for the holiday season.
